Best itinerary for beach holiday - Indian Golden Triangle tour with Goa!

India is famous as a land of cultures, traditions, cuisines, palaces and also has the most synonymous ingredient for a holiday i.e. beaches! No holiday seems complete without a relaxing time spent at the beach and hence the Indian Golden Triangle tour with Goa would be an ideal choice for those who agree with this fact! The well-acknowledged Golden Triangle circuit of India consisting of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur along with the world-renowned beach state of India i.e. Goa makes a perfect holiday cocktail. This tour includes the sites of India's famous historical monuments, the tropical climate and exotic beaches. A good nine days is a must for this tour to explore these wonderful destinations together. Even for a first time visitor in India, a Golden Triangle tour with Goa will be a good itinerary to cover in a short time. It offers a wide spectrum of cultures, history, food and awe-inspiring experiences that are a must for any first time visitor to India!

The tour can begin with Delhi, the capital city of India where one can explore city’s historical monuments such as Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Rajghat and also enjoy some fun elements like the light & sound show at Red Fort and hopping on a rickshaw for a fun ride at the narrow lanes of Old Delhi. Two nights will be sufficient to explore this capital city. The next destination can be Agra which is an integral part of the golden triangle sector. People mostly visit India to see the beautiful white marble Taj Mahal which is the most famous love memorial in the world, built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife whom he loved dearly. There is more to Agra than the Taj Mahal though and one can visit one of the finest forts in the country. You can also opt for a decorated horse cart ride while in Agra. A minimum of one night is required to cover these top sites of Agra. The third destination will be the alluring ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur.  This city is filled with royal heirlooms of Kings & Queens, who once ruled this region. It houses majestic palaces and imposing military forts including the Palace of Winds’, an astronomical observatory called ‘Jantar-Mantar’, the magnificent fort of Amber and a City Palace complex. Minimum two days are required to explore the major attractions of Jaipur.

After covering all the sectors in the Golden Triangle, one can fly to the lush green and palm fringed beach destination of Goa. There aren’t any direct flight options between Jaipur and Goa but you will find short stopover flights with minimum flying time. It takes minimum 4 to 5 hours to reach Goa from Jaipur by flight including the change over. You may even consider flying from Delhi to Goa but it would be time consuming, given the driving time between Jaipur & Delhi. In Goa, you will get to delve into the coastal city known for its serene beaches, Portuguese culture, variety of seafood and nightlife. One can easily spend three days in Goa and enjoy the sun, sand and even opt for some fun water adventures. Goa has an international airport and have direct flight connecting to some mid-eastern Asian countries like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and also seasonal flights to U.K & Finland. Hence, depending on the next destination one wants to travel from India, one can choose to fly either out of Goa or come back to Delhi to exit the country.
